In some cases taking home a brand new pet is actually a spontaneous idea. Purchasing a new pet to our home can be an emotional idea and these kind of decisions tend to be take no more than few seconds. But a decision like this mustn’t be made without making sure you can take care of the new pet.
Just recently I was at a good friend’s home together with my little boy. My Friend have an incredible female dog and she just had puppies. When my child spotted the cute little dogs he got happy and was screaming in pleasure. He and the puppies were playing around the entire time we were there, they were licked his face, leap up and down, and naturally he loved holding them on his arms and pet them softly. It had become an enjoyable and very positive day for both of us.
This day resulted in the things that occur today. We came home all happy and joyful and I told my husband about the great time our child had and how much he was pleased with messing around with the puppy dogs, so we both decided that it’ll do great for our little family to get a new dog.
We took our kid to the nearby dogs shelter and picked a beautiful snuggling new puppy that we all really liked.
However, before taking our decision we’ve discussed and thought of every part of having an new dog. We’ll need to take care of food, make sure we understand the house can get dirty and we will need to clean more often, taking the puppy to walks as well as other things which you have to do once you have a pet dog at your house.
The workers in the animal shelter told us the dog is going to be a little restless on the first nights inside our home, They gave us recommendations on what vaccines our new puppy dog will likely need to have and we started heading back home with our family new puppy dog.
As soon as we got to the house we talked with our son about taking care of the new puppy and that the puppy dog is like a baby and requires lots of care, attention and love. We made the puppy dog an area to sleep with a used baby blanket, and we set it alongside our baby bed.
In the morning all of us took the puppy to the vet and he gave the puppy all the vital vaccinations and he even discussed with us some other information we should understand.
We all like the new dog and we all including my little boy helping with taking care of the little puppy.
As I wrote the decision we took was based on knowing we will do this, and only after we made sure everyone knows and know what it really means to grow young dog in your own home.
A pet is a commitment along with a big responsibility. Some animals need more special care as compared to others and many need you to to be around, however a pet is always a thing you should think about before taking in your household.

Turtles pets can be a great addition to your family and provide hours upon hours of enjoyment. It is important to do your research in the beginning before you buy your turtle or turtles pets. Size and temperament are some of the differences of the many unique types of turtles. It is very similar to choosing which breed of dog or cat is right for you.

You should take into consideration the amount of time you have to devote to taking care of your turtle, the space you can provide, how old the people caring for the turtle are, how much financially you can put towards your turtle, what the laws in your state are regarding keeping captive turtles, and many other things.

I have seen a lot of people start off with a small turtle in a 5 -10 gallon aquarium only to find out that their turtle would soon outgrow this enclosure and need a bigger space. Some types of turtles will remain fairly small which enables them to live comfortably in a forty gallon fish tank, but never less. This is why it is essential to find out how big your turtles pets full grown adult size is before you buy it so that you can plan ahead.

A good ex. of the way to not care for your turtle is in the movie – Rocky. Rocky’s wife worked at a small pet shop and Rocky had two baby turtles in a very small, round, glass fish bowl in his apartment. The turtles had a small amount of water to swim, no correct lighting, no hot spot, and too small of a tank. Click one of the links in this article to learn in more detail how to care for your turtles pets right away.

In most states turtles under 4″ in length are illegal to own unless you are a research facility or university. It is said by some that there can be a bigger risk of getting salmonella from turtles under 4 inches in length. Some time ago some children contracted salmonella when they put these small turtles in their mouth. That is another reason why it is so important to have proper supervision around turtles pets.

As long as you use good judgment and wash your hands each time after handling your turtles pets or any part of your turtles habitat you should have no problems. Before you purchase your turtle if you want to begin the proper way and learn the basics……..or if it’s too late and you already bought it…..click one of the links on this page and start moving in the right direction to owning turtles pets.
