Individuals that aren’t educated on correct feeding practices for their pets most likely have no concept about the value of elevated puppy feeders. There’s no need to feel guilty though, because a food dish on the floor has been a staple in numerous households for close to a century. It’s easy for us to not take into account that a dog doesn’t walk upright on two legs like we do. Anyone who has had more than 1 dog in their life has most likely wondered why some dogs don’t make a single mess around their dish, while other people scatter foods all over the place and their water dish generally has drinking water overflowing about the floor. The cause all comes down the the fact that our dogs require higher mounted water dishes and elevated dog feeders so they do not usually need to lift their head in in between bites or gulps of water.
